The owner of Your Pickleball Guide partnered with the Digital Photo Academy. Jerry Downs, an award-winning photographer based in the Bay area, has led workshops for DPA for many years.
Jerry has a great quote on the DPA site: “My job has been to find different ways to look at things. Which has taught me that there are a lot of ways to look at things!”
Pickleball is a great activity that helps people look at things a different way. Primarily, for many people, it’s the joy of the community and the common respect for each player.
Here are a couple of photos Jerry took on a public pickleball court….the “paddle tap” is our version of a post-game handshake. And the players jumping — with joy — exemplifies what the game in intended to generate: FUN!
